Josh Hart Self-Owns on Roommates Show

Dallas Mavericks minority owner Mark Cuban recently appeared on Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart's Roommates Show. Cuban and Brunson cleared the air regarding the 2022 NBA free agency during the show. However, as Brunson's co-host tends to do, he kept it lighthearted with Cuban. During the episode, Hart said something that nearly left one of the more opinionated billionaires incapable of speech.

Although Hart exploded from behind the 3-point line during the 2024 playoffs and played a pivotal point, the Roommates Show co-host hasn't always commanded respect on offense. Furthermore, Hart took it upon himself to rattle off his career stats on the road vs. the Dallas Mavericks.

"I averaged seven points and five rebounds. I shoot 35 percent from the field, 22 percent from 3, and 62 percent from the free-throw line," Hart said.

Cuban promptly responded with "Damn," with Hart and Brunson bursting out in laughter.

While practicing the underappreciated art of self-deprecation, Hart made even more jokes about his stats vs. the Mavs.

"If you see me inactive, that might be our strategy," Hart jokingly referring to not playing vs. the Mavs to help the Knicks win.

Despite the humorous tone, Hart was anything but funny during the 2024 postseason run. Regardless of the unimpressive stats, it's doubtful the Mavericks will take Hart lightly.

Hart averaged 14.5 points on a respectable 37 percent mark from behind the 3-point line, 11.5 rebounds, and 4.5 assists in 13 playoff games.
