Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson has a lot he can brag about in his early career.

Except...his performances against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Outside of his postseason struggles, arguably the biggest criticism of Jackson has been his production playing Pittsburgh. He is 1-3 against them as a starter, throwing for just 214.5 yards/game with four touchdowns, seven interceptions and a 66.8 passer rating. Jackson completed just 58.7 percent of his passes, taking 20 sacks and fumbling the ball seven times.

Safe to say he hasn't played the best against the Steelers.

He's held strong against the Cincinnati Bengals and Cleveland Browns but his AFC North rivals up in Pennsylvania have had his number thus far. And Steelers fans never miss the opportunity to remind everyone how they've fared against Jackson.

This could change this season, however. Pittsburgh is projected by many to finish at the bottom of the AFC North, giving Jackson the opportunity to capitalize and defeat Pittsburgh for the first time since 2019. Even with Russell Wilson starting Week 1, it's not a guarantee he will last the entire season. There's much upside with Justin Fields but he's struggled as a passer in his early career.

Away from the quarterback position, there isn't much to anticipate for Pittsburgh. They made a few notable defensive additions but the lackluster offense still has them pegged for mediocrity.

Then again, many people have been anticipating lackluster seasons for Pittsburgh for years now. So I guess we'll just have to wait and see when the season rolls around.

The Ravens open up the season against the defending champion Kansas City Chiefs. They have their first matchup against Pittsburgh Nov. 17.
