Chicago Sky star Angel Reese chose to honor an NBA legend prior to her meeting with Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever on Friday.

Reese entered Wintrust Arena wearing the jersey of Dennis Rodman, pairing it with simple denim jeans and Timberland boots. Considering that Rodman is a Chicago legend, it's not really a surprise why the Sky rookie chose to wear the jersey in such an important game.

Not to mention that Reese has drawn comparisons to Rodman in recent days, especially after she cracked the Top 5 in WNBA single-season rebounding. The Chicago Bulls icon is considered one of, if not the best rebounder in the history of the NBA. With that said, Reese's outfit decision is a fitting tribute.

However, what surprised many is the jersey she chose. Instead of a Bulls jersey that the home fans would love, Reese opted to wear a Detroit Pistons jersey of Rodman.

Whatever her reason may be for that, Angel Reese's statement was crystal clear with her wardrobe choice.

"She getting 32 rebounds tonight," a fan declared. Another commenter shared, "Statement made and received, I hope by the haters."

"About to get a masterclass," a social media user predicted.

"Period! Now STFU. Best rebounder ever!" a supporter exclaimed.

Angel Reese enters the game with 388 boards to her name, just 17 away from setting a new single-season record for rebounds. Sylvia Fowles owns the record with 404.

The Sky also need the 22-year-old forward to do what she does best and keep dominating the glass in an attempt to beat Caitlin Clark and the Fever. At 11-19 on the season so far, the eighth-seeded Chicago squad could really use a win in order to improve its playoff bid.
