During the 2024 NFL preseason one of the players on the Raiders that stood out was wide receiver Tyreik Mcallister.

As a survivor of the cut down deadline as a fringe player, the question then becomes where will he be used the most? Tashan Reed of The Athletic has some insight to that.

As the NFL implements the new kickoff rule in 2024 it's important to have a player back returning that can flip the field at any given moment. During his pro day with the University of Charleston when preparing for the 2022 NFL draft Mcallister ran a 4.39 40 yard dash, so he can move.

Reed also makes a great point at needing to protect Tre Tucker, who has emerged as the clear No. 3 receiver on the team. Tucker has also shown promise with Gardner Minshew as the two connected for some deep shots in the preseason, so you want him healthy.
