Mike Francesa was the king of sports talk radio for the better part of three decades.

Now that he's semi-retired from the radio world, though, the now 70-year-old former WFAN host is still willing to give his opinion on sports topics across the country.

In the case of the New York Jets and general manager Joe Douglas, Francesa wasn't impressed regarding Thursday's press conference or the explanation of why Haason Reddick remained away from the team as he looks for a new contract.

“He just sounded so completely lost," Francesa said on his podcast. "It was almost like you were waiting for him to say, hey, I just screwed it up, and I’m trying to find a way out. He’s praising his agent and praising Reddick when really he wants to strangle them now. This has completely imploded on him now.”

The Jets open up the season against the San Francisco 49ers on Monday night in what is the return of Aaron Rodgers to the game field for Gang Green.
