WNBA Star Angel Reese Drops Major Business News Ahead of Caitlin Clark Rematch

Before the last regular season matchup between the Indiana Fever and Chicago Sky began, Angel Reese had some special news to share.

Having built a name for herself with an astounding college career at LSU, Reese has continued to grow her following in her rookie year with the Sky.

Reese has already broken records with her double-doubles and rebounds in several games. She currently averages 13.3 points and 12.9 rebounds per game, having 22 double-doubles to her name as she showcases herself as an assertive player inside the paint.

And now Reese is ready to begin her shoe collection, beginning her first pair of shoes with Reebok.

Since her endorsement deal with Reebok in October 2023, Angel Reese has articulated her ambition to be the leading representative for the brand in women's basketball.

As reported by Aaron Dodson, Reese will debut Reebok's first performance basketball since 2015, indicating that an upcoming model of her own is on the way.

When asked about debuting the shoe for Reebok, Reese's response confirmed the idea that her own shoe will be available in the near future.

“Reebok has stood on business about me since day one,” Reese told ESPN’s Alexa Philipou before Friday’s game. “Everything that I’ve wanted, all the creative control, I’ve gotten. [Reebok president of basketball] Shaq [O’Neal] told me I was going to be the face of Reebok, and I continue to be that. Being able to debut the new basketball shoe today, of course, I’m excited for it."

“I will definitely have a signature shoe — for sure," Reese said.

Reese is poised to be only the second WNBA player ever to have a signature shoe with Reebok, following in the footsteps of the legendary women's basketball icon and ESPN analyst, Rebecca Lobo.

It's all in the process of growing her name recognition, not only in the WNBA, but in the sports community as well. Many fans would love the chance to purchase Reese's shoes, which the rookie star is fully aware of.

Following tonight's game against the Fever, Reese and the Sky will travel to Minnesota to take on the Lynx on Sept. 1 at 3 p.m. ET.
