Simone Biles’ Sister Has Surprising Reason She Didn’t Like Jonathan Owens At First

While the COVID pandemic was a tumultuous time for most people, it signified a pretty big moment in the life of 11-time Olympic medalist Simone Biles.

It was during that time that she met NFL safety Jonathan Owens on dating app Raya, and the two struck up a romance. They got engaged two years later and then married in in 2023, and the two often post about their relationship on social media.

But there was one person who didn’t approve of their relationship at first: Biles’ sister Adria, who recently admitted during an appearance on the “Chris Osmond Show” how difficult it was for her when her sister started dating.

“You know what's so funny, I'm like so annoying, because I'm like that's my sister like I'm so selfish with her,” Adria said . “…So, when she met Jonathan, I was not happy. I knew he was a good guy and they were great but I was like, ‘You're taking my time away from her’ and I was so annoyed.

“To be honest, me and him didn't get along. I was just like being a brat. Now, obviously, I love him and he's like an older brother to me and she loves being married. It was really hard for me. Now, she’s like ‘I want to have babies’ and I’m like ‘No, I have to compete with somebody else.’ Like, please just hold off on having babies.”

Despite their rocky start, Owens and Adria appear to be on great terms now.

In fact, she even made a happy birthday post for the Chicago Bears defensive back on her Instagram page earlier this year where she thanked him for taking care of her sister.
