MLB Made a Strong Declaration About Simone Biles

As Simone Biles took the mound to throw the ceremonial first pitch for the Houston Astros against the Kansas City Royals on August 30, Friday, the MLB also made sure to give her a well-deserved recognition .

On X (formerly Twitter), the MLB posted a video of Biles making the first pitch at Minute Maid Park. The Astros invited the USA Gymnastics star along with other Olympic athletes as they celebrated the "Houston Olympians who participated in the Paris Olympics."

The MLB called Biles the "GOAT" in its caption on the post, acknowledging the impact she has had on her sport.

"The GOAT has arrived," the MLB posted along with a goat and gold medal emoji. "Simone Biles throws out the first pitch at Minute Maid Park."

Calling Simone Biles the gymnastics "GOAT" is not a stretch at all. After all, she has the accolades to back up that claim. She has also been widely recognized for elevating the sport to new heights, with several women's gymnastics skills already named after her.

Biles has 11 Olympic medals, seven of which are gold, along with two silvers and two bronzes. She won three golds and one silver during the recently concluded 2024 Olympics.

The 27-year-old also has 30 World Championship medals, highlighted by 23 golds. With that, she has cemented herself as the most decorated gymnast in history.

Indeed, Biles deserves all the praise she's getting.
