The Chicago Sky had no answer for Caitlin Clark on Friday night as she reeled off a career-high 31 points in a 100-81 Indiana Fever victory.

Clark went 8 of 14 from the field and hit 5 of 9 of her 3-point attempts. She also hit 10 of 11 free throws. She ended up at the charity stripe on a regular occasion down the stretch in the fourth quarter, with Sky guard Diamond DeShields taking out some frustration on Clark.

Clark hit half her free throws over a few-minute stretch in the fourth quarter, all coming on fouls committed by DeShields. The final foul came after a steal, with DeShields running over Clark at midcourt. The play was ruled a flagrant 1 by the refs after a review. The Fever subbed out Clark after she drained the free throws.

The hard foul from DeShields came a few moments after Clark allegedly talked a little smack to the Sky.

"After Clark air-balled her 3-pointer, it looked like Kamilla Cardoso said something (she was the one to contest the shot)." Matthew Byrne of ClutchPoints tweeted . "Clark then pointed up toward the scoreboard. Now, DeShields fouled Clark at midcourt. She tumbled to the floor."

Clark has become used to the occasional hard foul. It didn't seem to phase her, and as she exited the game, she received a standing ovation from the away crowd.

The Fever moved to 16-16 with their third straight victory. The Sky are 11-20 and hanging onto the eighth and final playoff.
