What is Julius Randle's Ceiling This Season?

    By Jonah Morgan,

Julius Randle was named to an All-NBA team just two seasons ago, and he will be looking to be back to his old self this season.

In a recent article by Bleacher Report's Zach Buckley , he predicts the ceiling and floor for some of the New York Knicks' biggest stars. For Randle, he thinks that he could be back to his old All-NBA self and help cement the Knicks as the biggest threat to the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference.

"Randle has had some rough patches over his tenure with the team, but he has also earned All-Star selections in three of the past four seasons," Buckley writes. "If he can post similar numbers on a Knicks team that improves its winning percentage, then he might be lock to earn both accolades again."

Randle suffered a shoulder injury that kept him out of the last part of the season, as well as the team's playoff run. This season, he will be looking to stay healthy and help the team truly contend.

He averaged 24 points, nine rebounds, and five assists per game in 46 games this past season, which were some very solid numbers considering he is the second option to the team's star point guard, Jalen Brunson. His shooting numbers do leave a bit to be desired, but that is the thing he has been focusing on all offseason, and will be looking to improve.

If Randle can be back to his old self and make another All-NBA team, he could put the Knicks in even better position to make some noise in the playoffs this year.
