The New York Knicks selected Marquette guard Tyler Kolek in the second round of the 2024 NBA Draft, and that could prove to be a steal.

In a recent interview with Stefan Bondy of the New York Post , trainer Nick Correia talked about how he thinks that Kolek could fit into any lineup with his versatility and wide range of skills.

"Tyler can play with anyone," Correia said. "He can do so many different things that I just see him being an X-factor that people don’t realize. In big game situations is when he’s at his best. That kid is going to play with energy like John Starks did in the ’90s. Spike Lee is going to have a Tyler Kolek jersey in the rotation."

Kolek was one of the brightest stars in college basketball this past season, so many were surprised whenever he dropped down all the way to the 34th overall pick in the draft.

He averaged 15 points, five rebounds, and just under eight assists per game in his senior season at Marquette, and he did all of it on 49 percent shooting from the field and 38 percent from three.

His ability to be both a primary ball-handler that dishes the ball around, as well as a spot-up shooter, could give Kolek a lot more opportunities with the Knicks in his rookie season.
