The ongoing debate between Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese for WNBA Rookie of the Year will remain until the award is eventually announced.

After the Indiana Fever's last matchup with the Chicago Sky this season, however, former NFL star and sports analyst Robert Griffin III has made his mind up.

Clark and the Fever dominated Reese's Sky by a 100-81 score. Clark showcased her brilliance with 31 points, 12 assists, and four rebounds on 8-of-14 shooting from the field and 5-of-9 from beyond the arc. She also made 10 of her 11 attempts from the free throw line, displaying remarkable efficiency all-around.

As for Reese, she had a double-double of 10 points and 11 rebounds, making this the 23rd time this season that she achieved the feat.

Both players made WNBA history with their performances on Friday night, as Robert Griffin III decided to make his stance on the Rookie of the Year between the two rookie stars clear.

"Caitlin Clark just won the WNBA Rookie of the Year award after tonight’s performance. Until tonight, the debate boiled down to whether you value rebounds and double doubles or points and assists more because Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese play DIFFERENT POSITIONS and are both balling.

"But I will say the quiet part out loud. Too many people are making their public stance on who they think is the WNBA rookie of the year based on race and not the results. Many privately feel differently, but publicly take a different stance to avoid being called out by the people who look like them," Griffin III said.

Griffin III proceeded to list the accomplishments Clark and Reese achieved this year, noting the advantages the Fever rookie has over her Sky counterpart.

"Angel Reese is a special player, but Caitlin Clark has earned the award. The Indiana Fever are a dangerous team heading into the playoffs and Caitlin Clark has earned your respect," he concluded

Indeed, that Clark and the Fever should be respected. Following a slow start to the season, they are now 16-16 with the seventh spot in the WNBA playoff bracket as fans can look forward to postseason basketball with Clark featuring as one of the main headlines.

Indiana will remain on the road as they take on the Dallas Wings on Sept. 1 at 4 p.m. ET.
