The Heartfelt Reason Behind Dwayne ‘the Rock’ Johnson’s Personal Gift to Simone Biles

Like most of America, Dwayne “the Rock” Johnson is a big Simone Biles fan.

And he recently found something for them to bond over: their love of tequila. As it just so happens, Johnson owns a tequila company, Teremana Tequila, which spurned a light bulb to go off in his mind.

“Just when I thought I couldn’t love and respect that girl any more, I find out she’s a tequila lover,” Johnson said in an Instagram post. “I’m a tequila lover, and I thought well that’s ironic because I happen to own a tequila company.”

Johnson decided to send Biles a bottle of tequila manufactured by his company with a personalized letter to honor her achievements at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

“Simone, I heard you like tequila,” the letter read. “I always say that it’s fun to play the game, but it’s way more fun to change the way the game is played — and that’s what you’ve done. Game changer.”

The gesture presumably was met with delight by Biles, who’s been known to post about her love of the spirit on social media on more than one occasion.

After a Paris night club tried charging her $26,000 for a bottle of champagne, a free bottle of tequila will presumably be much appreciated by Biles.
