Jordan Chiles Made Major Announcement on Social Media

A few weeks ago, U.S. gymnast Jordan Chiles announced that she would be taking a break from social media amid her bronze medal controversy from the floor exercise final of the 2024 Paris Olympics.

It has been quite a ride for the 23-year-old since she was stripped of her bronze medal after her initial judges appeal was reversed. Apparently, the score challenge filed by Chiles' camp was deemed invalid (it came four seconds too late), which led to the American falling from third to fifth place.

Chiles was asked to return her bronze medal, which in turn, was given to Romanian gymnast Ana Barbosu, who is now recognized as the rightful winner.

This is an undeniably tough pill to swallow for Chiles. However, it appears that she's now doing everything she can to move on from this nightmare.

On Thursday, Chiles took to TikTok to make an official announcement about the end of her social media hiatus.

"baby jo back on tiktok😜," she captioned a 20-second video of herself doing the latest dance trend.

Losing an Olympic medal is not something you just get over with. Nevertheless, it's great to see Chiles throwing herself out there again.

She will also take part in the Simone Biles-led Gold Over America Tour, which will span across 30 cities between September and November.
