Lee Corso Predicts Winner of College Football National Championship

Ahead of Week 1's edition of "College GameDay," the beloved Lee Corso offered up his pick for the 2024-25 college football national champion.

Fellow "College GameDay" member Kirk Herbstreit sat down with Corso earlier and found the 89-year-old legend enjoying his coffee and mulling over his College Football Playoff picks with pencil and paper.

After a few minutes of chatting, Herbstreit asked Corso if he could get a sneak peek of his predictions when it comes to the CFP. He agreed to reveal his final four.

"Georgia, Ohio State, Texas and Notre Dame," said Corso.

"Listen, and then the game, for the championship, Texas outscores Georgia and Texas wins the national title," Corso added as he triumphantly raised both arms into the air with the horns up symbol (2:20 mark in video).

"Hey, the crowd like that?" Corso asked.

"The crowd, they'll love it here," Herbstreit joked. "You got Notre Dame in here, they'll love that. You're going to win them over, and then you're going to pick Texas to win it all."

As Herbstreit delivered that comment, Corso acted like he was stabbing himself in the heart, a preview of what he'll do to those poor Aggie fans with his college football predictions.

Seriously, he's picking Ohio State to the final four, along with Texas A&M's opponent today, Notre Dame, while adding two more of A&M's SEC rivals, only to cap it off with a pick of Texas for the national title. It truly is a stab in the heart.
