    Chargers News: Chargers bolster backfield by signing Jaret Patterson

    The Los Angeles Chargers have added running back Jaret Patterson to their practice squad while parting ways with Isaiah Spiller. This move comes as the team looks to solidify its roster ahead of the upcoming season.

    Patterson, 24, previously played for the Washington Commanders, where he had a solid college career at Buffalo, earning accolades such as MAC Offensive Player of the Year in 2020. After going undrafted in 2021, he signed with Washington and spent most of the last two seasons on their practice squad.

    The Chargers' practice squad now includes:

    In his NFL career, Patterson has played in 20 games, rushing for 344 yards on 85 carries and scoring two touchdowns. He also has 10 receptions for 73 yards. The Chargers are hoping Patterson can contribute to their backfield depth as they prepare for the season ahead.
