There are some unknowns for the No. 1 Georgia Bulldogs headed into the season opener against No. 14 Clemson. But those questions regarding a handful of starters are starting to be answered ahead of kickoff at noon ET.

Unfortunately for the Bulldogs, projected starting running back Trevor Etienne is expected to miss the game following an offseason arrest after transferring from Florida. He will be missed as a three-down back with a proven track record of production.

Sophomore tailback Roderick Robinson is doubtful as he recovers from toe surgery. That leaves redshirt sophomore Branson Robinson, who is returning from a knee injury that kept him out of the lineup last season. Additionally, junior walk-on Cash Jones and true freshman Nate Frazier are expected to get snaps against the Tigers.

There is some good news on the availability front for UGA, though, as star linebacker Smael Mondon Jr. is reportedly playing in Atlanta despite an offseason arrest, according to On3's Pete Nakos.

The senior missed some time last season with a foot injury that plagued him into fall camp. Mondon, who has 155 career-tackles, is finally healthy and ready to lead the Bulldogs as one of the leaders of a talented defense.

Mondon and company will have their hands full against a physical rushing attack from Clemson. The Tigers return three starters along the offensive line and return one of the top backs in the ACC in Phil Mafah.

Kickoff is set for noon ET on ABC.
