Bills Quarterback Mike White Reveals ‘One Condition’ to Sign with Buffalo

Newly-minted Buffalo Bills quarterback Mike White is no stranger to getting physical with AFC East defenders.

In fact, White sustained some of the hardest hits of his career from Bills’ linebacker Matt Milano and defensive tackle Ed Oliver as a member of the New York Jets — including suffering two broken ribs during a Nov. matchup against New York. Despite the injury, White passed for 268 yards.

“I just can’t be locker room mates with Matt Milano,” White said.

While White was clearly speaking facetiously, his intensity should allow him to feel at home in Buffalo in short order. To that point, Bills general manager Brandon Beane acknowledged White’s toughness and tenacity were key factors in signing the Western Kentucky product to their practice squad.

“We’ve obviously gone against Mike,” Beane said via video conference . “I think everyone in here is very familiar with his career, all the time in the AFC East. The thing I have always liked about Mike and respected about him was whether he started the game or came into the game, he came in guns a blazing. No fear.”

During his six NFL seasons with the Jets, Miami Dolphins and Dallas Cowboys, White has completed 196 passes (62.6 completion percentage) for 2,219 yards, nine touchdowns and 13 interceptions.
