Fans Accuse 'College GameDay' of Ripping Off 'Inside the NBA' With New Segment

ESPN's "College GameDay" held its Week 1 edition of the show in College Station, Texas, for the battle between the No. 7 Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the No. 20 Texas A&M Aggies.

During the show, Kirk Herbstreit, Nick Saban, Desmond Howard and Pat McAfee participated in a new segment called "Where He At?" This game had the analysts guess what schools certain football players are now playing for after going through the transfer portal in the offseason.

The idea of the new feature is very similar to the "Who he play for?" segment on "Inside the NBA," which features Shaquille O'Neal, Charles Barkley, Ernie Johnson and Kenny Smith.

In the NBA on TNT's version of the game , a lesser-known player is shown, and the analysts must guess which NBA team they play for. Usually, they get the answer wrong.

Many fans did not like "College GameDay's" version and took to social media to accuse them of ripping off the NBA's segment.

"College Gameday is 100% copying Inside the NBA with the “Where he at” b*******. Pat you ain’t Charles it’s not funny when you do it," one fan said .

"The problem with College GameDay trying to rip off Inside The NBA's "who he play for?" is that these guys pay much more attention to CFB than Charles Barkley does to the NBA"

"College Gameday completely ripping off Inside the NBA’s “Who He Play For”….no one has an original thought anymore"

"Ripping off "who he play for?" and then none of the analysts knowing what P4 school a P4 quarterback transferred to is a rough look."

Clearly fans prefer the "Inside the NBA" edition of the game, but it does add another dimension to an already great show in "College GameDay."
