The Clemson Tigers were once one of the premier programs in college football during the 2010s. They won two national championships and were perennial contenders in the College Football Playoff.

After experiencing their first non-10-win season since 2010, the Tigers' expectations are beginning to diminish, resulting in their lowest preseason ranking since 2014. On Saturday's "SEC Nation," Paul Finebaum revealed that he thinks the Tigers have a lot of pressure heading into their game against the No. 1 Georgia Bulldogs. Finebaum went as far as to say that Clemson has fallen off by its standards.

"The pressure is really on Clemson today because this is a program that we all know was with Alabama, winning two national titles," Finebaum said. "They have just fallen so far off. Even though their record isn't that bad, it's bad for Clemson."

Finebaum mentioned that head coach Dabo Swinney is under pressure as well. Although Finebaum doesn't anticipate a close game, he believes that if Clemson can manage to keep the game tight, it would help the Tigers regain some credibility, which Finebaum thinks they currently lack.

So, this game could be crucial for Clemson to regain national prominence and make a statement in the college football world.
