Mike White is only entering his fourth season in the NFL this year, but he's about to be a part of the third different team in the AFC East.

After being released by the Miami Dolphins as a part of cutdown day, the former Western Kentucky product has signed with the Buffalo Bills to be their third quarterback behind Josh Allen and Mitchell Trubsiky.

For White, the previous week has been a whirlwind of the highs and lows of the NFL. And it helps that Allen was a big part in helping him stay in the league despite being released.

"Got released in Miami and drove up to Tampa where I lived," White said after Bills practice. "(Brandon) Beane called my agent, and the next thing I know I get a text from Josh with two eye emojis. I do know it happened really quick."

There's no doubt that Allen is the leader of the clubhouse now with the Bills.

That includes the added leadership of reaching out to incoming players via the draft, free agency, or waiver claims.

White won't be expected to see the field at all in 2024, but he should be the kind of role player behind Allen that the team can trust throughout the season.
