Tim Tebow Names SEC Quarterback Who 'Could Be Scary' This Season

Tim Tebow was a very scary quarterback during his time with the Florida Gators from 2006-09. Tebow won the 2007 Heisman and accounted for over 9,000 passing yards, over 2,500 rushing yards, and 145 combined touchdowns in his career.

Tebow was on "SEC Nation" ahead of the Week 1 games. The show was in Gainesville, Florida, before the Florida Gators and Miami Hurricanes game kickoff.

The former Florida Gators QB said Texas A&M Aggies QB "could be scary" under new offensive coordinator Collin Klein. Klein played for the Kansas State Wildcats from 2009-12 and finished third in Heisman voting in 2012.

Tebow liked how every player was a weapon in Klein's offense and thought it would benefit Weigman.

"I really think he's got a chance to go to the next level under Collin Klein," Tebow said. "He's one of my favorite OCs in the country because he gives the defense so much to think about. ...You look under his tutelage; everybody is a weapon, and now you give that to Conner Weigman, who can distribute. Wait a second, I've got all these playmakers, not just my number one and two receivers? Could be scary at Texas A&M."

Weigman started the first four games for Texas A&M last season before suffering a season-ending injury. In those four games before the injury, Weigman had 979 passing yards, eight touchdowns and two interceptions.

Weigman's first game back since the injury is a big one. To open the season, Texas A&M plays the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in College Station. Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m. ET on NBC.
