The college football world is gearing up for this weekend's kickoff. One of the most anticipated matchups is between the No. 1 Georgia Bulldogs and the No. 14 Clemson Tigers.

The game could be a significant stepping stone for the Tigers to demonstrate to the college football world that they are a nationally prominent program once again. The Tigers are coming off their worst season since 2010 and have their lowest preseason ranking since 2014. As for Georgia, they can make a statement to show that they are still the premier program in the sport.

On Saturday's "SEC Nation," Paul Finebaum made his prediction for the game, stating that he believes the Bulldogs will dominate the Tigers.

"I don't think we'll see a tight game, but if Dabo Swinney and Clemson can make this game tight, they'll get some credibility back," Finebaum said.

The Tigers have a 1-7 record in the last eight games against the Georgia Bulldogs. Their sole victory came in 2013 with a score of 38-35. The most recent encounter between the two teams was in 2021, with the Bulldogs winning with a score of 10-3. That win ultimately contributed to the Bulldogs winning the national championship that season.

So, both teams have a lot at stake, which could significantly boost their chances of winning the national championship.
