WATCH: Texas Commit Kaliq Lockett Hauls In One-Handed Catch For 60-Yard Touchdown

Just a day after Texas commit and five-star safety Jonah Williams recorded five total touchdowns for Ball High School in its season opener, five-star wide receiver Kaliq Lockett put on a show of his own.

Lockett committed to the Longhorns on Aug. 7. The Sachse (TX) product is ranked the No. 2 wide receiver in the nation for the 2025 recruiting class and the No. 5 overall prospect in Texas, according to 247Sports.

In Sachse's season opener against Coppell, Lockett hauled in a one-handed catch then sped past defenders for a 60-yard touchdown.

Although Coppell defeated Sachse 31-10 , Lockett put together an impressive performance. He concluded the game with eight receptions for 146 yards and a touchdown.

As a junior in 2023, Lockett caught 59 passes for 1,299 yards and 13 touchdowns on 22 yards per reception.

Lockett is one of three five-star players in Texas' 2025 recruiting class that ranks No. 7 in the country.
