Oklahoma DB Kendel Dolby’s postgame comments

Kendel Dolby played a big part in a very impressive defensive performance from the Oklahoma Sooners. The senior defensive back had a quarterback sack and a pass breakup in OU’s 51-3 win over Temple.

Here’s what Kendel had to say after the game.

After a long training camp how good did it feel to get out there and play finally?

“It feels great because in the offseason you are going against each other in practice. It’s good work but you want to play against somebody else. Today was the first day that we got to do that. I feel like we maximized the effort and we played a good game. And everybody said we just want to get better after this.”

How can you keep the momentum going on defense for the rest of the year?

“We’ve got to get back to the drawing board. Because we made a lot of plays tonight but there are definitely a lot of plays we left on the field so we’ve got to get back to watching film. We can celebrate what we did tonight but in our head we’re hungry and we want more.”
