College Football Fans Stunned By Malaki Starks’ Acrobatic Interception Against Clemson

No. 1 Georgia extended its 40-game regular-season winning streak with a 34-3 blowout win over No. 14 Clemson in Atlanta to open the 2024 college football season.

The Bulldogs certainly had their fair share of highlight worthy plays on the day, but two-time All-American safety Malaki Starks took the cake with an incredible interception off of Clemson quarterback Cade Klubnik in the third quarter.

The Tigers were trying to get back into the game will time ticking down at the top of the fourth quarter. It was first down from Clemson's 41-yard line when Klubnik launched a deep ball into Starks' territory.

The former five-star recruit made Klubnik pay for the inaccurate pass and came down with one of the best defensive plays you'll see on Saturday.

The play was eerily similar to Stark's first impact play at Georgia. Then a true freshman, Starks went up for an acrobatic interception off of Oregon quarterback Bo Nix in the 2021 season opener.

Starks finished the day with two tackles and an interception. The Georgia defense held Klubnik and company to 188 total yards on the day. The Bulldogs will take on Tennessee Tech in Athens next week.
