Former NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III has been vocal about the WNBA's growth this season, behind Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark and Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese.

The two rookies recently played each other in their final head-to-head matchup on Aug. 30, where Clark and the Fever marched into Chicago and took down the Sky 100-81.

Caitlin Clark led the Fever with a career-high 31 points on extremely efficient splits. The rookie shot 55.6% from three-point range and 57.1% from the field. She also recorded 12 assists and four rebounds.

Clark's production against the Sky helped boost her season averages to 18.4 points, 8.3 assists, and 5.7 rebounds per game.

After Clark helped the Fever secure their third straight win, Robert Griffin III believes the Rookie of the Year race is over. Angel Reese may be making a case, but with eight games remaining, Griffin is hammering down the nail.

"It’s over," Griffin said. "Caitlin Clark is your WNBA Rookie of the Year. The facts show it. Your eyes see it. Stop denying the truth."

Clark has been battling with Angel Reese for Rookie of the Year odds all season.

Reese has averaged 13.2 points and 12.9 rebounds per game. She's the only rookie averaging a double-double and leads the league in average rebounds.

The Sky forward's main issue all year has been dealing with substandard efficiency. She's shooting 38.6% from the field, despite attempting a majority of her shots within 10 feet from the basket.

With the victory over Reese and the Sky, Clark helped the Fever jump the standings with a 16-16 record. They're now the No. 6 team in the WNBA rankings with a 16-16 record. Indiana is in prime position to make their first WNBA postseason since 2016.

With the production and ability to impact winning, Robert Griffin II believes this makes Caitlin Clark the 2024 Rookie of the Year.
