Jaylen Brown Commented 'I Want Blood' Under a Post

Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown had the best season of his NBA career in 2023-24. He didn't have his best statistical year, but he did lead the Celtics to their 18th NBA championship banner, winning the Eastern Conference Finals and NBA Finals MVPs along the way.

But for some odd reason, even with his latest accomplishments, Brown was left off of Team USA for their run to gold at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

When Los Angeles Clippers forward Kawhi Leonard decided not to play for the USA after a few days of practice, instead of adding Brown to the team, Grant Hill and the USA decided to go with his Celtics teammate Derrick White.

Jayson Tatum and Jrue Holiday were also on Team USA, making it three players from the championship-winning team to win gold, but not their best player in the playoffs.

On Saturday, Brown took to Instagram to make a post about his new song with A$AP Ferg called "Just Do It," which is a subtle nod to Nike, who many think had a part to play in his Team USA exclusion.

One fan commented on the post, saying, "JB villain year loading..." with a devil emoji.

Brown gave a blunt response to the comment about him being the villain for the upcoming 2024-25 NBA season.

    "I want blood," Brown wrote.

Brown will go into next season with a lot of motivation. Tatum will also go into 2024-25 with extra motivation after being benched in two games in Paris. This will make the Celtics, who are returning everyone from their NBA Finals squad, a lot scarier.

Boston also recently signed free agent guard Lonnie Walker IV to an Exhibit 10 deal. If he does make the team, the Celtics would add a big scoring threat off the bench.

Brown finished the 2023-24 regular season averaging 23 points on 50% shooting, 5.5 rebounds and 3.6 assists. He made his third NBA All-Star appearance but failed to make an All-NBA team, which added fuel to the fire during his insane playoff run.
