DeAndre Hopkins Delivers Four-Word Warning on Clemson After Blowout Loss to Georgia

DeAndre Hopkins wants to see big changes from his alma mater's football program.

The NFL star took to social media on August 31 to send a stern warning to the Clemson Tigers team after their blowout loss to the Georgia Bulldogs. The No. 17 Tigers struggled to move the ball in Saturday's game, generating just 188 total yards of offense in the 34-3 loss.

Georgia exploded in the second half, scoring 28 points while holding Clemson to just a field goal.

After the game, Hopkins took to social media to share his disappointment that Clemson's loaded offense fell so flat.

"Clemson has all these playmakers but only 3 points," Hopkins wrote .

Hopkins then delivered a warning to the team.

"Something has to change," he said.

Others were more explicit in suggesting what change needs to happen, placing the blame squarely on head coach Dabo Swinney. The Clemson coach has been vocal in his stance against the transfer portal and was one of just four teams that did not land a transfer player this offseason.

Hopkins, who played for Swinney during his three seasons at Clemson, did not single out the head coach in his comments.
