Miami Hurricanes Taunt Florida Football Fans After Highlight-Reel TD

It looks like Urban Meyer’s Florida ties burned him with his pre-game prediction for the winner of Miami and Florida.

The Hurricanes were slight favorites entering their Week 1 matchup with the Gators, but they proved they can hang with anyone in the country.

Not only did Miami put up points in bunches, it also showed its trademark swagger as receivers Jacolby George and Isaiah Horton celebrated third-quarter touchdown by mocking Florida fans with their signature “Gator chomp.”

Despite the excessive celebration, no penalty was called, and to pour some salt in the wound, the mockery was right in front of the section where Florida’s recruits were seated.

The Gators’ defense had no answer for transfer quarterback Cam Ward, who completed 24 of 32 passes for 321 yards and three touchdowns at time of publication. He also added 36 yards on the ground to boot.

Senior receiver Xavier Restrepo also had himself a game, catching seven passes for 112 yards and a touchdown at time of publication.
