Is Bucs WR Chris Godwin a Viable Fantasy Football Option?

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have one of the best wide receiver duos in the entire NFL, as Mike Evans and Chris Godwin continue to impress year after year.

The NFL season is about to start, which means fantasy football is also about to begin. Evans is obviously a great option to draft in fantasy, as he finished the 2023 seasons as the WR4. But Godwin is a bit more of a question mark, as he is the WR2 behind Evans in the Bucs' offense.

This past season was his worst in a while, as he was targeted less than he usually is. With that being said, he was still able to finish with over 1000 yards, extending his streak of doing so to three seasons.

Baker Mayfield is going into his second season with the Buccaneers, and he was able to have the best season of his career this past season. He is only getting more comfortable with his new weapons, so Godwin could be poised to build on his 2023 campaign.

Now, he will be back in the slot, and could get the volume of targets that he has in the past. If he can do that, he could be a solid option for fantasy players to stick in their flex spot.
