Sherrone Moore Answers Michigan Offensive Line Concerns With Eight Word Message

Michigan football beat Fresno State 30-10 on Saturday night, extending the program's NCAA-best winning streak to 16 games in a row.

The Wolverines outrushed the visiting Bulldogs by a total of 148 to 9 yards, continuing their dominance in the running game from last season on the stat sheet.

Afterward, Michigan rookie head coach Sherrone Moore shared an eight-word message about the team's offensive line, which showed promise but also whiffed on a series of key blocks that contributed toward making the game much closer than the final score indicated.

Moore was asked about the offensive line, a position he knows well from his time as an offensive guard at the University of Oklahoma.

"It takes time," Moore said about the position group, which has been a calling card for the Wolverines' offense amid its run of three straight Big Ten titles and one national championship, after the game. "They'll be better next week."

Moore's message looms large considering the strength of the Texas Longhorns, the Wolverines' Week 2 opponent.

Texas, for all its defensive line talent, gave up 118 yards to Colorado State in Week 1, rushing for 190 yards on the offensive side of the ball.

The marquee matchup is set for next week at 12 p.m. ET in Ann Arbor. Until then, Moore and the Wolverines have plenty to think about, and plenty of corrections to make both in the film room and on the practice field.
