While Oregon football didn't have the performance on the field they were hoping for against Idaho, WNBA star and Paris Olympics gold medalist Sabrina Ionescu definitely captured the attention of many after being honored ahead of the Ducks regular season opener.

Ionescu is one of, if not the greatest women’s college basketball player of all time, and that historic career was with the Oregon Ducks.

Which is a key reason why they chose to recognize her for her Olympic accomplishments this summer in front of all the fans in Eugene, Oregon, Saturday night.

She stole the show after showing up with her gold medal around her neck while the entire Oregon football team arrived in her Nike Sabrina 1’s.

As the WNBA season winds down, the New York Liberty have already clinched postseason play led by Ionescu and Breanna Stewart .

On the season, the former Oregon star is averaging 19.5 points, 5.9 assists, 4.5 rebounds, and 1.0 steals. Her incredible talent doesn't go unnoticed, and it surely didn't Saturday night in front of 50,000+ fans at Autzen Stadium.
