Arch Manning's First Pass In Week 1 Caused Absurd Response

The Texas Longhorns have arguably the most loaded quarterback room in college football, and their backup may be the most popular player in the room and the sport.

While Quinn Ewers is a projected first-round pick, fans are enamored with his understudy, Arch Manning. That last name should sound extremely familiar, considering he comes from football royalty. He is the grandson of Ole Miss legend Archie Manning, and nephew of former NFL stars Peyton and Eli Manning.

While the 19-year-old Manning quarterback played sparingly during his freshman season in 2023, he saw some action in Texas' 52-0 win over Colorado State. Something that the stadium of nearly 100,000 fans was loving. In fact, according to a Texas content creator who brought a decibel meter to the game, Manning's first pass had the stadium roaring.

An ovation so loud that it registered a "130.2" on the decibel meter after Manning connected with Johntay Cook for a 40-yard completion.

The applause for Manning didn't stop there either, as just a few plays later, he connected with Oregon State transfer Silas Bolden for what was his first career touchdown.

Manning finished 5-of-6 on the day, throwing for 95 yards and a score. He also added a rushing touchdown on a quarterback sneak.

The No. 4 Longhorns will hit the road for their Week 2 matchup, as they are set to take on No. 9 Michigan on Fox's "Big Noon Kickoff." ESPN's "College GameDay" will also be in attendance for the heavyweight bout.

According to ESPN , Texas is favored by four points and has a 73.9% chance of beating the defending champs.
