Knicks' Mitchell Robinson Disrespected in Center Rankings

The New York Knicks were able to make it past the first round of the playoffs this past season despite injuries to some of their key players, including starting center Mitchell Robinson.

In a recent article by Frank Urbina of HoopsHype , he ranks who he believes are the top 30 centers in the NBA. Somewhat surprisingly, Robinson does not make the last, perhaps because of the fact that he missed a lot of time this past season.

With that being said, the player that he has at No. 30 on his list is Houston Rockets center Steven Adams, even though he did not play a single game due to knee surgery.

Robinson played in 31 games for the Knicks this past season, and then missed the rest of the season with an ankle injury. But when he was on the court, he did exactly what the Knicks needed him to do.

While many would look at his average of 5.6 points per game and immediately write him off, that is not what his role is with the Knicks. He averaged 8.5 rebounds per games, as well as a steal and a block, as his role with the team is to grab boards and be a menace on the defensive end.

Robinson will be looking to prove this ranking wrong and help the Knicks once again be one of the best defensive teams in the league this season.

Every Knick has been disrespected in the rankings. That's good. That means they have absolutely nothing to prove or nothing to lose. That's when you take everything and leave them with nothing to say.
