Week 1 of the 2024 college football season is mostly in the books, and things looked a bit different with Nick Saban working as part of College GameDay, rather than on the sidelines as the Alabama Crimson Tide's head coach.

Saban opted to retire from coaching after the 2023 campaign, and quickly transitioned into the world of sports media, where he has hit the ground running with College GameDay.

Fans have been excited to see Saban work as a sports analyst following his departure from Alabama, and it's safe to say he enjoyed his first week in his new job. After seeing a clip of Saban admit as much on the program, Ole Miss Rebels head coach Lane Kiffin chimed in with a heartwarming reaction on social media.

Kiffin worked alongside Saban for three seasons from 2014 to 2016 as Alabama's offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach, and it's clear the pair are still friendly with each other to this day.

Beyond that, Kiffin is probably happy that he doesn't have to worry about running into any Saban-led teams in the near future.

While some fans may still be upset that Saban is no longer coaching, it's clear he's doing a great job with College GameDay, and many folks, including Kiffin, are proud of him as a result.
