Charles Leclerc clinched victory at the 2024 Italian Grand Prix, navigating a chaotic race filled with penalties and unexpected twists.

He was joined on the podium by McLaren drivers Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris, who finished second and third, respectively.

The race kicked off with Lando Norris, starting from pole position, getting off to a strong start.

He quickly covered his teammate Oscar Piastri, who defended against George Russell, forcing the Mercedes driver off the track. Russell managed to continue but sustained damage to his front wing.

As the race progressed, Piastri made a bold move to overtake Norris, allowing Leclerc to capitalize and move into second place behind Piastri. By the end of the first lap, Russell was in seventh, still struggling with his damaged wing.

The action continued on lap five when Nico Hulkenberg and Daniel Ricciardo collided, with Ricciardo receiving a five-second penalty for the incident.

Hulkenberg also faced a penalty after a separate collision with Yuki Tsunoda, who ultimately retired from the race due to damage.

As the race unfolded, Piastri maintained his lead, while Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton made their pit stops on lap 16. Piastri's pit stop on lap 17 handed the lead to Carlos Sainz, who was soon overtaken by Max Verstappen.

Verstappen faced his own challenges, including a slow pit stop due to a stuck tire. Meanwhile, Norris received instructions to race freely against Piastri, as team orders were set aside for the moment.

As the race neared its conclusion, Leclerc took the lead, with Piastri and Norris following closely behind. Piastri eventually overtook Sainz for second place, while Norris also passed Sainz for third.

In the end, the race concluded with Leclerc taking the win, followed by Piastri and Norris. The final standings were as follows:

    2. Oscar Piastri
