Former Nebraska Cornhuskers coach and player Scott Frost has reportedly landed a new gig in the NFL.

According to ESPN’s Pete Thamel, the Los Angeles Rams have hired Frost as a senior football analyst ahead of the 2024 season, which starts next weekend.

Frost went 16-31 as coach of the Huskers, getting fired after three games in his fifth season (2022).

The Lincoln native, now 49, also played two seasons at Nebraska in 1996-97, helping the Huskers to a 13-0 season and a national championship in 1997.

Over those two seasons, Frost completed 192 of 359 passes for 2,677 yards and 18 touchdowns while rushing 302 times for 1,533 yards and 28 touchdowns.

After his final season, Frost was drafted in the third round of the NFL Draft by the New York Jets and played defensive back.

Over five seasons for the Jets, Cleveland and Tampa, Frost appeared in 59 games, tallying 72 tackles, 2 for loss, 1 fumble recovery and an interception.

He was one of the most coveted coaches in college football when he returned to Nebraska after the 2017 season, in which he led UCF to a 13-0 season and a Peach Bowl win over Auburn. However, he just never got things going with the Huskers.

Since then, he’s been mostly out of the spotlight but not gets back into the game he’s been around for so long.

Meanwhile, Matt Rhule seems to have the Huskers headed in the right direction after Saturday's 40-7 season-opening win over UTEP .
