Tyler Glasnow is optimistic about making a comeback for the Los Angeles Dodgers this season. As the team navigates a challenging final month of the regular season, injuries continue to be a significant hurdle. Key players, including Clayton Kershaw and Yoshinobu Yamamoto, are currently sidelined.

Kershaw has recently been placed on the injured list due to inflammation in his left big toe, while Yamamoto is working through a rehabilitation assignment. Glasnow, recovering from right elbow tendinitis, has shown progress in his recovery . After missing a scheduled throwing session, he successfully threw from flat ground on consecutive days.

Glasnow expressed confidence in his ability to return this season, feeling encouraged by his recent activities. However, he acknowledges the limited time left in the season, which adds pressure to his recovery timeline.

“I’m feeling good,” Glasnow said. “As of right now, I feel great.”

“If there is any silver lining, I think taking the time off, you kind of get your body, it like resets back to normal,” he said. “Before I got hurt for a while there, I don’t think I was mechanically in a very good spot. I wasn’t moving how I used to move. Now, kind of going back to zero and then ramping back up, I’m like, ‘Oh, that’s the feeling I’m trying to feel.’ I think once I iron out a lot of that stuff, a lot of the other issues go away.”

Looking ahead, Glasnow's next steps involve increasing the intensity and distance of his throwing sessions. If all goes well, he could progress to bullpen sessions and potentially face batters in simulated games or a rehab assignment. The Dodgers are eager for his return as they aim to finish the season strong.

“That’s why I came here,” the 31-year-old said. “That No. 1 priority is just the World Series. That’s like all I think about now, at this point in my career.”
