Indiana Fever End Record-Breaking Streak After Thrilling Victory

    By Cole Sullivan,

The Indiana Fever won in epic fashion on Sunday, defeating the Dallas Wings 100-93. Outscoring the Wings 30-19 in the fourth quarter, led by Caitlin Clark and Kelsey Mitchell .

Mitchell led all scorers with 36 points and continued her dominance, while Clark contributed 28 points, 12 assists, and four rebounds. The two combined for 64 of the fever's 100 points.

With the victory, Indiana has now won six out of their last seven games, and after starting the season 1-8, they have finally gotten above .500, winning their 17th game of the season.

With the Fever 17-16 overall, this is the first time since 2016 that they have had a winning record. Yes, you heard that correctly. It has been going on nearly eight years since the last time the Fever franchise had a team that was above .500 overall at any point.

If the Fever can get to the postseason, which looks more likely every single game, they will end a seven-year playoff drought, and Caitlin Clark's presence has been huge in the culture shift that has occurred this season in Indiana.

There are seven games remaining in the WNBA season, and the Fever are playing as well as any team in the league at the moment. Catching fire at the perfect time as the playoff approach.
