USC Wide Receiver Goes Viral For Early ‘Catch of the Year’ Candidate Against LSU

Sunday's game between USC and LSU provided one of the best highlights you'll see all season long.

USC and LSU opened in a deadlock through one quarter as two woeful 2023 defenses looked much stronger in the early going. However, Miller Moss and Kyron Hudson finally brought some electricity in the second quarter, as Moss sent a deep ball to Hudson, which he pulled down in jaw-dropping fashion.

Hudson, blanketed by a pair of LSU defenders, leaped backward like an Olympic high jumper and extended one hand to snag the ball before completing a full 180° as he face-planted into the field, maintaining full control.

With LSU-USC being the only game currently on TV, everyone in the college football world immediately reacted, crowning Hudson's stroke of brilliance the obvious catch of the year — and one that could stand for the rest of the season.

Other prominent college football fans chimed in, such as Barstool Big Cat, who merely called the catch "insane."

Meanwhile, On3's JD PicKell had a funny comment.

"This would go on my PowerPoint when I renegotiate my NIL," he tweeted.

"One of the best catches I have seen in a long, long time," commented Jeff Goodman.

"CATCH OF THE YEAR ALREADY," FanDuel said.

To anyone who watched it live or has seen the clip, we're all in agreement: That was one of the most impressive catches in recent memory. Thankfully, replay review upheld the catch, and USC proceeded to cash in their first touchdown.
