Dodgers News: Los Angeles Reinforces Roster with Call-Ups of Andy Pages and Justin Wrobleski

The Los Angeles Dodgers have made strategic roster moves as they prepare for the final stretch of the MLB season.

With the expansion of rosters in September, the team has called up outfielder Andy Pages and pitcher Justin Wrobleski from Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Pages, who made his MLB debut earlier this season, has played 98 games for the Dodgers, posting a batting line of .246/.305/.388 with 88 hits, 54 runs, nine home runs, and 36 RBIs.

His promotion comes after the team designated Jason Heyward for assignment, allowing Pages to step in and provide depth in a crowded outfield.

Despite a recent stint in Triple-A after Max Muncy returned from injury, Pages has excelled, hitting .356 with eight home runs and 22 RBIs in just 24 games. His performance indicates he is ready to contribute at the major league level.

On the pitching front, Wrobleski is set to start in Arizona this Sunday. With injuries to key pitchers, including Tyler Glasnow, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, and Clayton Kershaw, the Dodgers needed to bolster their rotation.

Wrobleski has made five starts for the Dodgers this season, recording a 1-1 record with a 4.68 ERA and 18 strikeouts. He began the year in Double-A, where he had a solid 3.06 ERA before moving up to Triple-A.

Both Pages and Wrobleski will be crucial as the Dodgers aim for a playoff spot. Additionally, the team recalled Michael Grove from Triple-A and optioned Ben Casparius ahead of their upcoming game.
