Did Maxx Crosby Hint At Which Quarterback He Wants The Las Vegas Raiders To Draft?

This past weekend marked the first official week of the college football season, and Las Vegas Raiders' superstar Maxx Crosby was dialed in.

He took to social media a handful of times to give programs or players props throughout the weekend shouting out Travis Hunter, his alma mater Eastern Michigan and even Vanderbilt who upset Virginia Tech.

However, if we are to overanalyze a social media post from Crosby, it'd have to be one he sent out about another Colorado star. On Thursday, August 29, Crosby shouted out Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders during Colorado's game against North Dakota State.

"Shedeur Is Cookin 💯," Crosby wrote on social media.

Why is this an important post to overanalyze? Well, there is a real possibility that the Raiders will again be in the market for a quarterback next draft. It is also worth noting that the Raiders were among the 29 teams that sent a scout or executive.

This past draft, all reports indicated that they had their eyes on Washington's Michael Penix Jr., but the Atlanta Falcons decided to draft their quarterback of the future after signing Kirk Cousins.

So, the Raiders had to ride with second-year Aidan O'Connell and journeyman Gardner Minshew, who ended up winning the starting job. While O'Connell had bright spots during his rookie season, he lacks the ability to make plays with his legs and simply was unable to do enough this offseason to show he deserved another shot.

As for Minshew, he has frequently been used as a bridge quarterback during his career, and the expectation is that this year won't be any different. He has shown the ability to make big throws and use his legs, but he is also reckless at times.

In reference to his post, Sanders shined in Colorado's Week 1 win. He finished with 445 yards passing and four touchdowns, and while he did throw an interception, it was about as flukey as it gets. A defender, ended up falling down and the ball happened to bounce off him, and ricochet to another defender.

Sanders has been praised for his accuracy, decision making, and his toughness as he was playing behind the worst offensive line in the country last season.

Multiple mock drafts have him going to the Raiders in the top 10, but in reality it all depends on how the Raiders do. They very well could mess around and win a couple too many games that may have them out of Sanders' range, but based on Crosby's post, he already has one big fan in the building.
