Kalen DeBoer Provides Major Injury Update

Alabama had an impressive start to the season in a 63-0 thrashing of Western Kentucky, but it did so without star left tackle Kadyn Proctor. Before the game, Proctor had his left arm in a sling on the sideline and was ruled inactive due to a shoulder injury suffered in pre-game warmups.

Head coach Kalen DeBoer provided some positive news on Monday morning at the podium, saying it's a "shoulder situation" for Proctor. "It's one that we'll be able to manage. It's something that we'll continue to evaluate throughout the week."

Redshirt sophomore Elijah Pritchett started at left tackle for the Crimson Tide, the first of his career. He struggled in the game, finishing with a PFF grade of 48.6 and surrendering three pressures and a sack on just 14 pass-blocking snaps.

The Crimson Tide likely don't need to rush Proctor back this week as they are substantial home favorites once again, this time against South Florida. However, it would be nice to have him back on the field next week when they hit the road for a matchup against Wisconsin.

Stay tuned for more updates on Proctor's status as we learn more about this developing situation.
