There’s an old saying that Washington Commanders receiver Dyami Brown is living by this season: Winners never quit.

Even when the team had a few days off for the holiday weekend, the former third-round pick was putting in work. In a video released on Saturday, Brown was sitting down, helmet on, catching balls over his shoulder.

It reportedly improves a player’s ability to track the ball in the air and allows them to know if they need to speed up or slow down, and it improves hand-eye coordination.

This is a very important drill for a player who was thought to be on the bubble when training camp began.

Once camp opened, Brown made himself known and stood out like no other receiver in camp. He made big play after big play and developed a connection with rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels.

That connection looked to be valuable, but little did we know at the time that his work ethic was so strong, and his drive was so high that the Commanders decided to trade Jahan Dotson so that Brown could be the No. 2 receiver behind Terry McLaurin.

Coach Dan Quinn & Co. have put a lot of faith in Brown’s abilities and he’s paying them back with putting in the work to prove them right.

He will start in the Commanders' season opener at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday with kickoff scheduled for 4:25 p.m. ET.
