Sheryl Swoopes Fires Back at Nancy Lieberman's Caitlin Clark Admission

Women's basketball legends Nancy Lieberman and Sheryl Swoopes have had quite an interesting Labor Day thanks to their deferring opinions on Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark.

Over the 2024 WNBA season, Swoopes has seemed indifferent about Clark's impact on the league, while Lieberman has voiced the exact opposite, giving the former Iowa Hawkeyes star plenty of credit .

On Monday, Lieberman made an appearance on " The Stephen A. Smith Show " to discuss Swoopes and her opinion on the rookie point guard. Lieberman revealed that she and Swoopes no longer have a relationship due to their distinct takes and said, "My life is going to be good with or without Sheryl Swoopes."

Well, Swoopes heard Lieberman loud and clear and fired back at her with a post on X.

"Now here you go! I get what you trying to do wit ya boy Stephen A. Smith but it ain't working," Swoopes wrote. "You know good and well what happened. And ditto...my life is good without you too(and him). You wanna go there?"

Last week, Smith made a comment about Swoopes for not giving Clark any credit for the Fever's recent success, calling her "insane." Swoopes appears to have brought that up as well with her latest post.

Since the WNBA's return from the Olympic break, Clark has led the Fever to a 6-1 record and they have now jumped the Phoenix Mercury for the sixth seed in the playoffs. Overall, Indiana sits at 17-16 following their win over the Dallas Wings on Sunday, which marks the first time they have had a winning record in over five years.
