Cristiano Ronaldo is not one to back down from a challenge, both on and off the field.

With his new YouTube channel, the Portuguese icon aims to eclipse a YouTube star's subscriber count.

Even without immediate plans for retirement, Ronaldo continues to grow his brand through his YouTube channel. The Portuguese star's competitive spirit extends beyond soccer, aiming to be the top YouTuber globally.

In the lead-up to Portugal's UEFA Nations League matches, Ronaldo was in the press room where questions arose about Mr. Beast and his YouTube channel.

"Mr. Beast is the one I have to beat!" he declared, chuckling.

To surpass MrBeast's subscriber count, Ronaldo faces a significant challenge. The Al-Nassr star currently boasts 55.7 million subscribers, while MrBeast, having surpassed the 300 million mark in July, now has over 313 million. Therefore, Ronaldo would need approximately 257 million more subscribers to equal him.

Ronaldo already set a record by amassing over 20 million subscribers within a single day, whereas MrBeast took 132 days to hit the 10 million mark. This feat underscores Ronaldo's immense popularity, as he is among the athletes with the strongest online presence.

When tallying his social media profiles, 110 million on X (formerly Twitter), 636 million on Instagram, and 170 million on Facebook, Ronaldo is nearly 60 million followers from the remarkable milestone of one billion followers across all platforms.

More than just an intriguing business move, Ronaldo's YouTube channel undoubtedly provides a novel avenue for him to engage with his fans.
