    Steelers Draw Painful Comparison in NFL Power Rankings

    The Cleveland Browns have long been the whooping boys of a division that includes the Pittsburgh Steelers , Cincinnati Bengals and Baltimore Ravens.

    Of the four teams, it's the Browns who have found the least amount of success, including the lack of a Super Bowl appearance.

    That's why a recent comparison will strike hard in the hearts of Steelers fans.

    Josh Kendall of The Athletic recently published his NFL power rankings. And it's bad enough that he landed Pittsburgh at No. 20, but what's worse, he compared the recent Steelers offseason to the Browns.

    "The Steelers are acting like the Browns this preseason," Kendell writes . "I’m sorry, Pittsburgh fans, I know that hurts. The Steelers have an old quarterback cast off by another team (Russell Wilson) and a young quarterback cast off by another team (Justin Fields).

    "They held a quarterback competition in name at least and then declared Wilson the starter while leaving the door open for Fields to get playing time. It all feels a little squishy for the Steelers, who have prided themselves on being resolute throughout their history."

    The Steelers are gambling on either Russell Wilson or Justin Fields - both of whom failed at their last stops - will turn into a franchise quarterback in Pittsburgh.

    And that sounds like something Cleveland would do. After, all, the old saying goes, "Cleveland's gonna Cleveland..."
