College football is back, and Week 1 certainly lived up to the hype. With some exciting games and interesting results, Week 2's AP Top 25 was released Tuesday afternoon, prompting fans to question the inclusion of a major program.

Some notable games were as follows:

    • 34-3 - No. 1 Georgia over No. 14 Clemson
    • 23-13 - No. 7 Notre Dame over No. 20 Texas A&M
    • 41-17 - No. 19 Miami over Florida
    • 27-20 - No. 23 USC over No. 13 LSU
    • 24-21 - Georgia Tech over No. 10 Florida State (Week 0)
    • 28-13 - Boston College over No. 10 Florida State (Week 1)

While it was expected that Florida State and Clemson, both ACC programs, would fall in the rankings, fans also believed they would drop completely out of the Top 25 based on their results.

Florida State shockingly dropped its first two games of the season to unranked opponents after going 13-0 last year. Quarterback DJ Uiagalelei and the Seminole offense struggled in both games, failing to move the football down the field.

On the other hand, Georgia completely dominated Clemson. The score was tied at 0-0 at the end of the first quarter, but after that, Georgia took control. Clemson's quarterback, Cade Klubnik, threw for only 142 yards with no touchdowns and one interception.

In Tuesday's Week 2 edition of the AP Top 25 , Florida State was listed unranked, while Clemson slid from 14 to 25.

College Football fans took to X shortly after the rankings were released to question why Clemson was still included.

"Can't believe Clemson is still ranked after that beat down," one stated.

"Clemson at 25 is crazy they put up 3 points lol," another added.

    "Get Clemson off this list."

A fan suggested that Boston College should take Clemson's spot instead.

Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney led the Tigers to national championships in 2016 and 2018. However, despite consistently winning at least nine games in each season since then, fans are becoming frustrated with the team's inability to compete for titles.

Swinney has faced increasing criticism, and some fans are now demanding a change in leadership.

The last head football coach at Clemson University, not named Dabo Swinney, was Tommy Bowden. He began the 2008 season with a 3-3 record before Swinney became interim coach.

Now, 25th-ranked Clemson will look to avenge their Week 1 embarrassment this Saturday, September 7, against Appalachian State. Kickoff is set for 8:00 p.m. ET.
