The San Francisco 49ers have locked in Trent Williams with a lucrative revised contract and will have their big left tackle ready to roll for the start of the year.

With negotiations nearly wrapped up, Williams ended his holdout on Tuesday. The terms of the new three-year, $82.66 deal came out shortly after, with Williams cashing in with some significant guaranteed money. He'll get $48 million fully guaranteed at signing and a $25.690 million signing bonus.

"In 2024, Trent Williams gets $27.6M in salary — more than the original figure of $20.05M," NFL Network Ian Rapoport reported . "With just over $2M in fines, it’s roughly $5M more than he was on the books for. He’s the NFL’s third-highest paid lineman, but earns more cash than any this year."

Before the restructuring, the 11-time Pro Bowler had three years left on his contract but no guaranteed money.

"Obviously, I didn't think it would get this drawn out," Williams said on Tuesday after reporting. "But it's a tough business, and this was a very intricate contract — I wouldn't call it a dispute — but a restructure. So, it took time to get to where both sides feel like like it's a win-win. We had discussions in minicamp and kinda knew that it could draw out a little bit, just because there was other people on the table — obviously, a lot of pressing needs. I didn't think it would go this long, but it is what it is."

With the new deal in place, Williams, 36, is on track to earn nearly $250 million in his career.
